The working visit of Consul General Anna Avetisyan to the US state of Arizona

Upon the invitation of the Governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs, the Consul General Anna Avetisyan participated in the annual “International State of the State” event held in Phoenix. The event brought together members of the diplomatic corps in California and Arizona, along with representatives from the business, academic, political, and expert communities. As part of the program, the Consul General attended panel discussions focused on advancing the semiconductor industry, fostering innovation, attracting international investment, enhancing research capacity in aerospace technologies, and strengthening competitiveness across these sectors.

On the sidelines of the event, the Consul General also met with representatives of Arizona’s Commerce Authorities to explore opportunities for cooperation between Armenia and the State of Arizona in the high-tech sector.

During her working visit to Arizona, the Consul General participated in a meeting hosted by Arizona House Representative Tony Rivero, Chair of the International Trade and Appropriations Committee. Members of Arizona’s state legislature from both the Senate and the House of Representatives were also in attendance. During the meeting, the Consul General highlighted recent developments and progress across various sectors of Armenia–United States relations and exchanged views on opportunities to further expand cooperation between Armenia and the State of Arizona.
