$3,239,500 RAISED DURING THE FUNDRAISING EVENT HELD AT THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF ARMENIA IN LOS ANGELES

Glendale – On October 8, upon the initiative of the Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles Ambassador Armen Baibourtian, the Pan-Armenian Council of Western U.S.A. along with the Consulate General of Armenia held a joint emergency fundraising event to provide urgent humanitarian relief to the Homeland and the peaceful civilian population of Artsakh due to the Azerbaijani aggression with direct participation of Turkey. At the event held at the Consulate General, a total amount of $3,239,500 was raised through donations, of which $2,482,273 was immediately transferred to Armenia Fund, with the remaining balance to be transferred within the next few days.

Just in several days, the joint event brought under one umbrella the Armenian spiritual leaders of the Western USA, the leaders and representatives of the Armenian political, charitable, educational organizations, and the business community.

The event manifested the collective will of the Armenian community of the Western U.S. to support the Homeland, already being demonstrated from the day one of the war through continuous financial aid from the entire of Western U.S. Armenian community, channeled through the Armenia Fund.

The joint event aimed at securing humanitarian aid to the Homeland, was a message itself to the entire Armenian community, emphasizing the need to multiply all the efforts in that direction.
