Meeting With the President of California branch of the "Union des Français de l’étranger"

On January 10, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles Armen Baibourtian met with the President of California branch of the "Union des Français de l’étranger" Cynthia Hajjar-Kazandjian. They discussed practical agenda items of establishment and development of cooperation between the Consulate General and the California branch of the "Union des Français de l’étranger". Both sides attached an importance to the role of Armenians among the French-speaking community of Californiaas well as the task of forging close bonds with the California Armenian community and implementation of joint programs. The California branch of the "Union des Français de l’étranger" will hold a concert in Los Angeles on February 20, 2019 under the auspices of the Consulates General of France, Lebanon, Belgium, and Armenia. Prominent Armenian musicians from France and Armenia are going to perform in this concert. Following the hugely successful Francophonie summit held in Yerevan in October 2018, this will constitute a tangible step in enhancing cooperation with the French-speaking community.
