Teleconference connecting the RA Ministry of Diaspora with the Armenian community

The Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles hosted a teleconference connecting the RA Ministry of Diaspora with the Armenian community in Los Angeles. Participating in the annual teleconference were the Minister of Diaspora, Hranush Hakobyan, Deputy Minister Vahagn Melikyan, and other officials of the Ministry. Representing the Armenian community in Los Angeles were Davidian and Mariamian Educational Foundation, Armenian Relief Society, Nationwide, Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, Glendale Unified School District, “The Tale is Calling,” Armenian American Theatrical and Musical Society, and other representatives from educational institutions.

The purpose of the teleconference was to present the upcoming events organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, and to discuss the means by which their organization will become a reality.

The participants of the teleconference spoke about the “Ari Tun” Program, the “Diaspora” Summer School, the “We Sing Komitas” Pan-Armenian Festival, the “What Are You Doing for Artakh” program, the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Conference, and the 5th General Body Meeting of the Armenian Business Network.

The educational representatives of the Armenian community in Los Angeles had the opportunity to present their questions and concerns to the Ministry of Diaspora, and to discuss the means by which they will be able to solve many of these issues.

Both parties agreed to continue the tradition of holding these online meetings.
