The Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles hosted the Consul General of Mexico

The Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles hosted the Consul General of Mexico, Carlos Eugenio Garcia de Alba Zepeda, and consular employees.
The Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, Valery Mkrtoumian, stressed the importance of close cooperation between the diplomatic missions of the two countries, particularly in a state which is home to a large community of Mexicans and Armenians.
The Consul General of Mexico cited immigration, cultural and economic spheres as promising areas of cooperation. The participants stressed that Armenian-Mexican cooperation has great potential, as evidenced by the successful experience of the past.
The Armenian-Mexican expo exhibitions provided Armenian and Mexican businessmen an opportunity to gain knowledge of each other’s capabilities and market demands. Such collaborations are expected to continue in the future through the organization of meetings between Armenian and Mexican businessmen to discuss mutually beneficial cooperative efforts.
The parties also view the tourism industry as an area of prospective cooperation. The participants agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding during their upcoming meeting. According to another agreement, an Armenian-Mexican cultural week will be held in Los Angeles in the coming months.
