Exhibition dedicated to 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence

Events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia's independence continue to take place in Los Angeles. With the joint efforts of the Consulate General of RA in LA and Glendale City Council, City Hall opened an exhibition under the name "The new independent state of ancient Armenia". The exhibition features 150 photographs telling the important cultural, economic, political, scientific and public events of Armenia in the years 1990-2016. At the opening of the ceremony, Pavel Sargsyan, the exhibition author, as well as "Menq" foundation CEO, said that the event aims to introduce to both Armenian and foreign public Armenia's road to independence. Consul Armella Shakaryan stressed in her speech that during the 25 years of independence the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity was able to overcome many challenges and achieve success. Glendale City Council member Vardan Gharpetian highlighted the importance of holding such exhibitions in Glendale, the diverse population of which can have the opportunity to get acquainted with Armenia's modern history and Armenian community. Armella Shakaryan expressed gratitude to Mr. Gharpetian for collaboration with the Consulate in the organization of such events.
