22nd Anniversary Gala of the Armenian International Medical Fund.

On April 13, 2025 the Armenian International Medical Fund (AIMF) celebrated the 22nd anniversary of its foundation. Many officials from local and state governments, diplomats and other dignitaries were among the participants of the Gala. A special recognition was given to Dr. Akira Ishiyama for his 22 years of dedication to the cochlear implant program. Due to his professional services, today, over 250 children and young adults with profound hearing loss enjoy the sounds of nature, attend school and work, free of charge. Every year due to the efforts of Dr. Ishiyama and Salpy Akaragian, co-founder and President of the AIMF, from 15 to 20 children receive the Cochlear implant, each of which costs around 20.000 USD. During the gala event, Mrs. Mary Najarian and Mrs. Haikouhi Kavoukjian were honored for their long-lasting support to the healthcare system of Armenia.

Dr. Karen Israyelyan, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles congratulated the leadership and members of the AIMF for the 22nd anniversary. He also conveyed deep gratitude to Dr. Akira Ishiyama for granting the gift of hearing to more than 250 Armenian children. The Consul General also commended the honorees of the Gala Mrs. Najarian and Mrs. Kavoukjian.
