CONSUL GENERAL OF ARMENIA IN LOS ANGELES AMBASSADOR ARMEN BAIBOURTIAN MET WITH CALIFORNIA STATE ASSEMBLY MAJORITY LEADER ELOISE GOMEZ REYES

GLENDALE - On June 8, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles Ambassador Armen Baibourtian held a virtual meeting with California State Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Gómez Reyes. Ambassador Baibourtian expressed his deep delight and appreciation to the Majority Leader for her membership in the California Armenian Legislative Caucus at the Assembly, and also for her active participation in the activities of the Caucus. Eloise Gómez Reyes stressed the importance of working closely with the California Armenian community as being one of the most important communities in the multicultural State of California. The interlocutors discussed issues pertinent to the Armenia-California cooperation agenda. Ambassador Baibourtian and Majority Leader Reyes agreed to make these meetings on a regular periodic basis in order to make their cooperation more efficient.

In 2016, Eloise Gómez Reyes was sworn in as a California State Assemblymember for the 47th Assembly District. She is the Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee and also serves on the Aging and Long-Term Care Committee, Budget Committee, Judiciary Committee, Utilities and Energy Committee and Legislative Ethics Committee.
