The working visit of Consul General Anna Avetisyan to the US state of Colorado

Consul General Anna Avetisyan visited Denver, Colorado. During the visit, Consul General was accompanied by Tigran Muradyan, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Colorado and Berj Apkarian, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Fresno.

The Consul General held meetings with Karen Moore, Director of Network Growth at the World Trade Center Denver, Carol Carter, Founder and CEO of GlobalMindEd, Stephanie Garnica, Director of Global Engagement at the Denver Office of Economic Development and Opportunity, Michelle Hadwiger, Director of Global Business Development at the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Christian Thomas, Senior Diplomacy Manager at the same office, as well as other representatives. The meetings focused on opportunities for cooperation between Armenia and the State of Colorado in the fields of economic development, education, and culture.

In the City of Aurora, the Consul General met with Mayor Mike Coffman. The discussions covered the activities of the local Armenian community as well as prospects for decentralized cooperation. In recognition of enduring friendship between Armenia and the City of Aurora, the Mayor of Aurora presented the Key of the City to the Consul General.

The Consul General also met with women leaders of the Armenian community in Colorado. During the meeting they discussed issues related to the education of the youth, emphasizing the importance of women's active involvement in this process.

At the invitation of Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of North America, Consul General Avetisyan attended the consecration and church naming ceremony of the new Armenian Church in Denver. In her remarks, the Consul General congratulated the community on this historic occasion, highlighting the church's vital role in uniting the community, preserving and passing on national values, and strengthening ties with the Homeland.
