Consul General had a meeting with Dilpreet Sidhu, Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles.

On November 26, Dr. Karen Israyelyan, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles, met with Dilpreet Sidhu, Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles for International Affairs.

The sides discussed the Memorandum of Understanding signed during the visit of Mayor of Yerevan to Los Angeles last year, aimed at enhancing public services through modern technologies, and smart solutions. Both parties highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in transportation management, particularly in the context of studying and applying Los Angeles’ best practices.

They also explored opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the sister cities of Yerevan and Los Angeles, underscoring the necessity of establishing direct Yerevan–Los Angeles flights.

The parties emphasized the importance of possible cooperation between Enterprise Armenia and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.

The meeting also addressed issues related to Armenia’s participation in the 2028 Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles.
