CONSUL GENERAL OF ARMENIA IN LOS ANGELES AMBASSADOR ARMEN BAIBOURTIAN HAD A VIRTUAL MEETING WITH THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND STAFF OF THE ARMENIAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF AMERICA - WESTERN REGION

Ambassador Armen Baibourtian had a virtual meeting with the board of directors and staff of the Armenian National Committee of America - Western Region (ANCA-WR). Ambassador Baibourtian presented facts and full details of the Azerbaijani military attack on the north-eastern border of Armenia in Tavush in July of the current year. They also discussed the wave of provocative actions of the Azerbaijani side, which also reached California. The interlocutors also discussed the recent reforms carried out in the Armenian Armed Forces and the significance it had during the recent hostilities.

The participants of the remote meeting touched upon the topic of the impact and preventive methodologies of the COVID 19 pandemic. The Consul General presented the current state of the affairs in Armenia in that respect, and the policy of the Armenian Government aimed at improving the situation.

Ambassador Baibourtian highly commended the activity of the Armenian National Committee of America. The participants of the meeting agreed to further enhance the already close cooperation between the ANCA-WR and the Consulate General of Armenia as well as outlined new directions for joint efforts.

The leadership of the Armenian National Committee of America - WR, in their turn, reaffirmed their unconditional support to Armenia, Artsakh, the Armenian agenda in its entirety, and the readiness to partner even closer with the Consulate General of Armenia.
