The Minister of Economy of Armenia visited LA

On the initiative of the Consulate General of RA in LA and with the support of the Armenian-American Business Council, a meeting of the Minister of economy of Armenia with the businessmen of Los Angeles took place. The Minister represented the results of meetings in Silicon Valley and agreements on new projects.

"Human resources, strong professional ability, necessary infrastructure and favorable business conditions- all this makes Armenia an attractive partner for leading companies of high-tech sector, which plan to expand the already initiated business projects", said Minister Minasyan. He said the second Silicon Valley will be formed in Armenia with the same logic, favorable environment for business, legislation and infrastructure.

The meeting was attended by several dozen American Armenians, who wanted to have first hand answers to their questions. American Armenian businessmen were concerned with many questions-from corruption to investment legislation. The Minister of Economy promised that such meetings will become regular, and not only in Los Angeles, but in other Armenian populated centers as well with the aim to make the Armenians of Diaspora partners in the economic development of their Motherland.
