Hundreds of Armenian-Americans Commemorate Genocide in Montebello

On April 23, a memorial ceremony was held in Montebello Memorial devoted to the 101th anniversary of Armenian Genocide. The event was attended by community members and religious leaders. US congressmen, members of California State Assembly and the Los Angeles city government representatives joined the Armenian community, those who have shown continuous support for the Armenian community for years.

The event was attended by the Consul General of Armenia to Los Angeles Sergey Sarkisov and his wife. In his speech he stressed the importance of community cohesion in supporting Artsakh today. Sergey Sarkisov offered a minute of silence in memory of the fallen heroes of Artsakh. The participants of the event placed flowers at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.
