The Certificate of Recognition to Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan is in Los Angeles. He arrived in California to participate in the Armenia Fund’s annual telethon held on November 26. Archbishop Pargev is having meetings with the Armenian community before the fundraising. This time he visited the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles. The meeting was attended by community leaders. Present among the guests was also Elena Semerjian, assistant to California State Assembly member Mike Gatto. During the meeting she handed the leader of the Artsakh Diocese a Certificate of Recognition signed by Mike Gatto for Archbishop’s strong dedication to his mission. Let us remind that AJR 32 resolution recognizing Nagorno Karabakh as an independent country was authored by Mike Gatto. The resolution was passed by both Houses of California State Legislature last May, making California one of the five US states to recognize Artsakh independence.
