Consulate General of Armenia in LA hosted the exhibition of works by Armen Dagheyan, the artist from Armenia. Dozens of artworks by miniature painter were presented to LA audience.

26.04.2018 • Meeting with Sargis Stepanyan

Consulate General of Armenia in LA on April 25th hosted a meeting of RA Armed Forces officer, Major Sargis Stepanyan with community representatives. Officer briefed attendees on his years of service before and after he had been severely injured as well as the current programs of Armed Forces of Armenia.

23.04.2018 • Annual commemoration ceremony

On April 22nd, the annual commemoration ceremony was held in Montebello Memorial devoted to the 103th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Community and religious leaders, US federal, state and local elected officials were in attendance.

15.04.2018 • New names

Before flying back home, young musicians of “New Names of Armenia” visited Armenian-American schools and performed for their compatriots. On April 17th, young talents spent their morning at Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, participated in the classes, learned how Armenian-American children study Armenian language, history and culture.

11.04.2018 • Remembrance Day

On April 10, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors commemorated the 103rd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Supervisors Kathryn Barger and Hilda L. Solis held a special presentation recognizing the Day of Remembrance for the Armenian Genocide.

10.04.2018 • New Names of Armenia in Los Angeles

Consulate General of Armenia in LA in cooperation with Artist for Kids invited New Names of Armenia to give a concert in LA dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia. Young but already well known talented musicians from Armenia will perform live classical music at the famous Zipper Hall in Downtown LA, on Thursday April 12 at 7:30pm.

Consulate General in cooperation with the Armenian International Women Association (AIWA) celebrated International Women's Day on March 8 at the Consulate. More than 100 Armenian women involved in social, charitable and cultural activities of the community were invited to the festive gathering.

06.03.2018 • The Book of Whispers

On March 5th the Consulate General of Armenia in cooperation with the Armenian-Romanian Cultural Association initiated the meeting with the Romanian-Armenian writer, Romanian Senator Varujan Vosganian at the Glendale Public Library.

Consul Armella Shakaryan visited T.E. Jefferson and R.D. White elementary schools in Glendale to get acquainted with the bilingual education system, which has been successfully implemented in these schools in recent years.

On Feb 26th the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles in partnership with The Promise Institute for Human Rights marked the 30th Anniversary of Sumgait Pogroms at UCLA School of Law.
