The Armenian Missionary Association of America held its Annual meeting banquet in Los Angeles

On October 18, the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA) held its 106th Annual Meeting and Banquet in Los Angeles. At the beginning of the evening, attendees were welcomed by AMAA Executive Director Serge Buchakjian and AMAA Board President Gary R. Phillips.

During the event, Nazareth Darakjian, longtime president of the Armenian Missionary Association of America, was specially honored and presented with a distinguished award. The evening also featured outstanding performances by Emily Damasco and Hyungjin Son, soloists from the Los Angeles Opera’s Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program.

Among the distinguished guests were Archbishop Hovnan Derderian (Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin), and Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, (Holy See of Cilicia), Adrin Nazarian, LA City Councilmember, along with more than 300 members of the Armenian community.

The event was also attended by Dr. Karen Israyelyan, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles.
