Memorandum of Understanding with the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region

The Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles signed a memorandum with the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region. The document was signed by the Deputy Consul General, Valery Mrktoumian, and the Regional CEO of the Red Cross Los Angeles Region, Jarrett Berrios. The memorandum provides for cooperation between the consulate and the local Red Cross office, within the framework of mechanisms to assist the community during emergencies. Both parties noted that this memorandum marks the first step in developing cooperative relations, and expressed hope that it will lay the basis for further cooperation with the community. Jarrett Berrios noted that the local Red Cross office has memorandums of understanding with a small number of countries and their diplomatic officials. To date, collaboration is underway with France, the UK, Japan and Mexico.
